V4/V5 - What is a Snippet?

This article relates to version 4 of myPractice and version 5 of Bp Allied.

Snippets allow you to enter sentences or blocks of text for later use throughout the program.

To Enter a New Snippet:

  1. Go to SYSTEM > DATA MAINTENANCE > SNIPPETS
  2. Give your SNIPPET a name
  3. Type in the text you wish to save 
  4. Repeat as required
  5. Click Apply and OK
To use the Snippet within either the Client Details/Consultation notes area or within Letters
  1. Right click in the field
  2. Select INSERT SNIPPET
  3. Select the "Keyword" for your Snippet from the list to insert the saved body of text
  4. Click Save
